About This Project

Helping Every Child Start School Ready to Learn

Education is a pathway to opportunity, independence and a brighter future. However, for families experiencing financial hardship, even basic school supplies can become an additional financial burden.

Lighthouse Aid Limited is launching the Lighthouse Education Access Program in Perth, Western Australia, to help remove these barriers and support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

What We Aim to Achieve

Our initial pilot project has a fundraising target of AUD $5,000 to support approximately 25–50 disadvantaged students across Perth.

The program will provide essential educational supplies, including:

* School bags and backpacks
* Exercise books and notebooks
* Pens, pencils and stationery
* Pencil cases and geometry sets
* Calculators and other essential learning materials

Assistance will be tailored to students’ educational needs, with priority given to families experiencing genuine financial hardship.

Making a Meaningful Difference

Through this initiative, we aim to:

* Reduce financial pressure on disadvantaged families.
* Ensure students have essential resources for classroom learning.
* Improve students’ confidence, preparedness and participation in education.
* Promote equal educational opportunities within our local community.

Our Commitment

Lighthouse Aid will work with local community partners to identify eligible students and ensure assistance reaches those who genuinely need it. The program will maintain appropriate eligibility checks, financial accountability and respect for beneficiaries’ privacy and dignity.
